Admission Policy

PNS Admission Policy

Pushp Niketan School follows the following schedules and procedures for the process of admissions.

As per NEP 2020, Nursery admissions are open for children of age 3+ as on 31st March……..
A child must complete 6 years as on 31st March, at the time of admission to Grade 1.
The registrations for grades Nursery to IX start in the month of February, whereas the registrations for grade XI start in the month of April.
Admission procedure will be fair and no recommendations will be considered. List of documents to be submitted at the time of admission will be provided.
The registration forms are available in the school office from 9 am to 1 pm, and can be collected after a payment of Rs. 200/-
Admissions are granted by the Management/ the competent authorities on the basis of the parent’s interactive session and admission assessments (applicable for grades I and above).
The class strength does not exceed 30 at any time.
We try to maintain equal ratio of boys and girls in each class.
Preferences, for admissions, are given to the girl child, siblings, teacher’s wards and wards of DSM employees.

The advertisement campaigning for admissions in grades Nursery to IX starts in the month of February.
The registration forms (Nursery to IX) are distributed to the admission seeker in the last week of February to 1st week of March.
Student and parent interaction (Pre-school) with the Principal and the teachers, for assessment of the student on various parameters starts by the 2nd week of March.
Written and interactive assessment of prospective students of grades I-IX begins by mid March.
Last date for admission is 30th of March, if the seats are available.
The registration form must be filled and submitted to the school office before the end of the registration period.
Incomplete or illegible registration forms will not be accepted or processed.
The Management/ the school authorities reserve the rights to change the date and time of interaction/ aptitude test.
Mere issuing of the admission form does not ensure admission of the child. It is subjected to availability of seats.
The dates of entrance test are announced after the required forms are released.
All the prospective candidates appear for the test in the subjects of English, Hindi, Mathematics and Science.
The students are assessed on the basis of their written as well as interactive skills. They are marked on the worksheets provided to them, and they also undergo a thorough oral session with the subject teachers.
The marks they score and their feedback is then shared, on the feedback form and with the Principal.
On the basis of their scores and presence of mind, the student is either selected or not, for admission.
An orientation program for new parents and students is hosted by the school on 28th of March.
Purchase of the school uniform, book sets and school calendar starts just after the confirmation of the selected students.
The new session commences on 4th of April.

Medical form (provided by the school) completely filled up and signed
4 coloured photographs of the student and 1 coloured photograph of each parent, should be attached to the form
Birth certificate
Photocopy of student’s Aadhar card
Photocopy of parent’s Aadhar card
Report card of the previous class
Transfer certificate from the previous school attended
Photocopy of immunization card
Copies of Covid vaccination certificate, if any

Provisional admissions to grade XI are granted on the basis of Pre-board results and will only confirm when the board examination results are announced.
In PNS we conduct counseling sessions for the students of Grade X, to help them select a suitable option from the streams of Science, Commerce and Humanities, followed by filling up of the provisional admission forms.
You have to meet the eligibility criteria as per the school norms.
Fees once paid will not be refunded or adjusted.
